| Sims2 morality isn’t the same kind of morality you see promoted in real society so don’t get all goofy on me, okay?
I found and downloaded Lizz Love’s waterbed which releases a lot of inhibitions. Sims will woohoo with just about anybody regardless of relationships. That is, their relationship with the sex partner. If they are attached to a Sim or that Sim is attached to them it could be trouble. Great, right? Well, not really. Even at the lowest fun level setting that’s all they want to do when those beds are in their homes. Their aspirations weren’t getting fulfilled (unless they have the romance aspiration), their houses were messy, and they were always tired. So, being a smart ass of a sort…
Now, I could have just not used the bed at all once I ran into problems but Sims, like real people do like to woohoo and sometimes while fulfilling lifetime aspirations that area of their Sim lives gets overlooked.
I found a jealousy patch which keeps relationships on an even keel when one of a pair strays… well… with that bed everybody strayed so it became a moot point but still there needed to be some way to keep relationships from blowing to hell and back every time.
I created a brother and sister with romance aspirations and personalities to fit the lifestyle… Leos… set them up with a house, a couple of electronic ticket machines, set a price and had them open up a home business… with that silly bed. Within days, I was having to add a couple of beds. By the end of the first week, there were four beds, by the middle of the second week there were six. My poor computer couldn’t handle any more. They really needed about ten to keep people from having to wait.
Within two days, they had doubled their money. By the end of the first week they made 40,0000 simoleans. I stopped playing the house and home business 11 days into it. By that time they had made 80,000 simoleans… no selling, no cajoling, no skils… they were so busy developing relationships and “pleasing” customers their own skills were slow developing. One had about 3 cooking points, 3 creativity, and 1 or 2 logic points. The other had a couple of cleaning points, one mechanical point, and a couple of creativity points… but they were happy. People paid their money and made a beeline for the bed of their choice. It wasn’t all without problems, however. The sister kept getting pregnant. She has two children already. Don’t ask me who the fathers are. I expect if the kids ever talk to their daddies, I’ll know then. The brother and sister were good at this, too… without even trying. If someone was alone for too long, they went to keep them company, if you know what I mean. They really did love their “work”.
Not only did they make money hand over fist, there were very few dissatisfied customers… actually there weren’t any truly disastisfied customers but there were a few who didn’t develop loyalty stars… typically because they never got “lucky”. One did complain after woohooing… not sure why. Those bubbles are sometimes hard to figure out. However, in the end, she had given them a couple of loyalty stars, too.
When I moved on to another family, as I said before, the brother and sister had made 80,000 simoleans… profit… more before expenses were deducted, 200 loyalty stars, a business value of 50,000(the maximum), and a business rank of 10.
What this did was free up my “working” Sims to concentrate on careers and families. There was an added bonus. They did a lot more networking and friends became a lot easier to find and make. Not everyone they meet through this silly business become friends but enough to keep their social levels in good shape.Â
Even if Sim Land sex really does sell.
So, if you’re not a prude and are a bit timid about the open for business expansion pack, like I’ve been, this would be a good way to “get your feet wet”. You can do the same with several other ideas. I had a gym with one Sim in another neighborhood. He did well with it but wasn’t happy in business. He thought it was what he wanted but he was actually happier at home with his kids and toodling with those work stations: floral, toys, and robots. He didn’t like selling and he didn’t like socializing that much.
